Commission Us

We have two studios here at the farmhouse and both of them are usually humming with all kinds of projects in the works. In addition to our ongoing personal work, we often take on outside commissions in music, visual art, stop motion, and writing for individuals, businesses, and organizations. We bring 30+ years of experience and a versatile array of skills to every project, working closely with our clients to develop their ideas into one-of-a-kind finished artworks. We love to collaborate, we're good communicators, and we deliver projects on time.

“...a phenomenally talented artist! This has been one of the best experiences I've ever had working with a freelancer. We came with a very unique concept; she was able to take it all in and produced a final project that was even better than we hoped for. She's a fantastic communicator, meticulous, and brings such a positive vibe to any project. It's been a pleasure working with her! Highly recommended!”

“The Poulenc Trio’s experience working with Flying Farmhouse on our collaborative piece, Trains of Thought: Animated was an inspiration from concept to performance!  We approached them with a new musical composition that we had already commissioned, Trains of Thought by the brilliant young Vietnamese American composer, Viet P Cuong. We were looking to add a filmed component that would reflect the piece’s kinetic treatment of memory, consciousness and locomotion.  They sprung into action, displaying a deep understanding of the piece’s artistic  and musical underpinnings, and produced a painstaking and lovingly-crafted stop motion film, using handmade paper figures and macquettes,  that not only complemented the musical work, but made it better.  The charm, color and humor that they coaxed from these “mere bits of cut paper” are simply astonishing.  We were proud to have our combined mixed-media work accepted for a premiere live performance at the National Gallery in Washington, DC, and we look forward to our next collaborations with Flying Farmhouse!”
